When you enable voice cloning, your recorded voice sample is sent to our TTS provider (Fish Audio) during lecture generation. The sample is not stored on our servers after synthesis. The finished voice-cloned lecture is saved only on your device and is not added to the public archive.
Standard (non-voice-cloned) lectures are automatically saved to our public cloud archive. Anyone using the app can browse, search, and listen to them. These lectures cannot be deleted.
We send your topic + specifications (and voice sample when cloning is enabled) to xAI (primary) and fallback providers (Gemini, Groq, Fish Audio) to generate lectures and audio. We do not sell your data.
• Voice samples remain on your device until you delete the voice or clear app data.
• Non-clone lectures are stored permanently in the public archive.
• Cloned lectures are stored only locally on your device.
You can delete your own voice samples from the device (My Voices screen). You can report inappropriate content. You can download the text of any lecture to your device.
The App is for users 13 years and older.
Effective date: April 5, 2026
By using Hearken you agree to these Terms.
You type a topic → we generate a lecture using xAI (primary) + fallbacks. You can optionally clone your voice (record once, reuse locally). Voice-cloned lectures are saved only on your device and are not added to the public archive.
Monthly and yearly subscriptions are handled 100% through RevenueCat + Google Play / Apple App Store. Cancel anytime in your store account.
• You own the topics you type and the voice samples you record.
• Voice samples are stored only on your device.
• By generating a lecture with voice cloning, you grant us permission to send your voice sample to Fish Audio for synthesis.
• Voice-cloned lectures are private to your device and never become part of the public archive.
Only non-voice-cloned lectures are published to the public archive. These cannot be deleted once published.
You are responsible for your inputs and voice samples. We use filters, but we are not responsible for AI-generated content.
The App is provided “AS IS”. Severin is not liable for any damages.
